Mono is an open source implementation of the .NET Framework that runs on multiple platforms. This session will teach you the basics of Mono, including what is the same and what is different about developing for Mono vs the Microsoft .NET Framework. It will show you how you can port applications to Mono including Windows Forms, ASP.NET, Silverlight, data access and other kinds of applications.
Costantino is a software developer with 16 years experience building industrial automation systems, manufacturing execution systems, and integration to ERP/EAM systems. He is the author of LINQ and Entity Framework and Developing Mono 2.6 Solutions. Costantino is originally from Italy and has been living and working in the US for the last decade, currently based in Michigan.
