Job Summary:
As a member of the Business Solutions Group, this individual will be a part of a small development team building custom solutions for clients utilizing the Microsoft .NET 2.0/3.5 Framework, MOSS 2007, Silverlight 2.0, SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 and other Microsoft Technologies.
The ideal candidate is a bright, enthusiastic and energetic team player who is excited about technology, and is looking to help build dynamic Internet and Intranet applications. The selected candidates will work in small groups on multiple projects. As a developer, this individual will interact with clients and project managers to define system strategy, requirements and architecture; therefore good oral and written communication skills are imperative. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working closely in a team with project managers and other developers to design, develop, implement and support, custom solutions that include but not limited to: portal and workflow solutions for MOSS 2007 and WSS 3.0; custom web applications using .NET, Silverlight 2.0, and AJAX; console applications, windows based applications, and class libraries.
- Developing programs within specified timeframes and budgets.
- Documenting programs and processes. Ensuring all programs and reports are developed using best practice methods.
- Work with other consulting team members in delivering solutions that support the clients' business strategies.
- Leading design, integration and deployment efforts.
- Ensuring department technical policy / procedures are being followed within the project team.
- Understanding system and business requirements related to the project and transferring that knowledge to others on the team.
- Acting as a subject matter expert.
- Coordinating and maintaining technical documentation related to the project and/or systems.
- Driving the progress, seeking out and championing new development efforts.
- Leading the problem solving process when technical issues arise.
- Reporting progress/risks to Project/Product Manager.
- Working on an on-going basis with the Product Manager to help define requirements.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems
- or related field
- 3-5+ years experience in .NET and/or SharePoint development
- Certifications are a plus
